Late March and early April brings the start of Crawfish season to New Orleans.  Tulane sure does know how to embrace it.  This picture illustrates how over 16,000 pounds of crawfish was passed out to Tulane students and staff at the 2009 Crawfest.  It was a free all day event that included all you could eat Crawfish and 10 hours worth of live music on two stages.  Whether you know what crawfish is or not, you will certainly get introduced to it very quickly when you arrive in New Orleans.
