Audubon Park

One of the best things about Tulane being located in Uptown New Orleans is that it is right next to Audubon Park.  Located literally across the street from Tulane’s campus, Audubon Park is the perfect place for Tulane students to spend their free time and enjoy the beautiful New Orleans weather. With a 1.7 mile paved walking/running/biking path, an 18-hole golf course, sports fields and picnic facilities in an area along the Mississippi river called the fly, and the Audubon Zoo, Audubon Park has plenty to offer. As a new resident of New Orleans, I have thoroughly enjoyed having the park so close to my house. It has been the perfect place to run with my black lab Hank, do homework outside, and walk by numerous Hollywood film crews (secretly hoping that they will want me to be in their movie) filming in the park.  As a Tulane student, I feel very lucky to go to a school that is located in a metropolitan setting while also having the perk of being next to well-run city park.
