An Introduction from Lin Yang

My name is Lin Yang and I’m originally from Harbin, China, and was an exchange student in the University of Illinois at Springfield. When I decided to attend the Tulane MFIN, I was thrilled by New Orleans’ cross-culture and multilingual heritage. Imagine yourself wandering the street of the French Quarter, surrounded by Spanish architectures and jazz music. You will never get bored here in New Orleans, nor at Tulane University.
During my spare time, I take French classes and participate in the Freeman Consulting Group to enrich my experience in finance. I am also a member of the Tulane Chinese Students and Scholars Association, where I am in charge of social events, such as the Mid-autumn Festival and Karaoke Night. I love music, traveling, and discovering great food from around the world.
Currently, I work for the Office of Graduate Admission as an MFIN student ambassador. I would love to help prospective students learn more about Tulane as well as share my experience living in New Orleans especially with fellow international students.  I know what it is like to fly thousands of miles away from home in pursuit of knowledge, desiring to be a better person, and dreaming of a fulfilling life.  This is where it all begins.
If you have any questions about Tulane’s MFIN program, please feel free to contact me at lyang7@tulane.edu.
