Juan Molina

Hi everyone

My name is Juan Molina and I’m a first year MBA. I was born in El Salvador, Central America. My undergrad major was computer science and I’ve been working in IT and sales since I graduated in 2005. I first worked for Cisco Systems as an instructor in their networking Academy. After a year with Cisco I joined Dell and started working in enterprise systems sales. I left Dell after 2 years and joined Stream Global Services as a sales support manager for a year.

I decided I wanted an MBA a year and a half ago. I started preparing for the GMAT, writing tons of essays and filling up applications. After the interviews and a long wait, I got several acceptance letters. I was happy that all the work had paid off and now I needed to decide where I would spend the next 2 years of my life. After much deliberation I decided I would take Tulane University’s offer and make New Orleans my new home.

I’m still in the process of deciding exactly which route I want to take my MBA and the possible career paths I can pursue. For the moment I think I’m going to concentrate in Strategic Management and Leadership.

I’ll try my best to give blog readers some insights into Tulane and New Orleans in general and I hope my posts can be of use to someone on the fence about coming to Tulane. If anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Shoot me an email at jmolina@tulane.edu and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
