We’ve all known that New Orleans is one of the country’s greatest food cities – and now we know it’s also the cheapest!
Zagat: New Orleans most affordable dining in US.
As a side note – while we were in Argentina, about 40,000 of our fellow New Orleanians showed up for the annual Po-Boy Preservation Festival on Oak Street, which is a few blocks from campus. This is one of my favorite festivals of the year – you wander around and pay a few bucks to sample po-boys (sandwiches on French bread) from the city’s best restaurants. I’m sad I missed it this year.
