So, figured I would take this opportunity to tell you about Marketing Planning and Implementation, one of the classes that I am taking this spring. Our major grade for the class is based on a semester-long group marketing project. For the project, groups of students partner with a local business or non-profit interested in expanding its marketing efforts. I am in a group with four other women, and we have decided to partner with InExchange, a Fair Trade boutique opened four years ago by Tulane alum Erica Trani. Our group is charged with creating an analysis report and marketing plan for our client; we will then assist InExchange staff in implementing one part of the marketing plan, analyze the results and propose future steps based on our analysis. All in all, I think that the class will be a lot of work, but a great learning experience.
