Tulane MBA and PMBA students have begun working on their consulting project for the Latin American Global Leadership course. The focus of the course held at the Tulane uptown campus is on issues relevant to business in Latin America. For the consulting project, students are working in 12 teams with one of four Argentinean NGO’s facing a business problem. The Executive Director of the Help Argentina organization traveled to Tulane from Buenos Aires to kick-off the project and meet individually with the student teams. During the project launch, the students picked their teammates and then selected the NGO with which they wanted to work. That same week, they met with their NGO clients by video conference to discuss the problems more in-depth. The teams now have two months during which to analyze the problem and conduct research and follow-up meetings with their NGO client. The students will travel to Buenos Aires during November to visit their clients’ facilities and also to present their recommendations in person. While in Argentina, the students will attend academic presentations by faculty from IAE Business School, visit with executives from HSBC and Unilever, and participate in cultural and networking events with alumni and business students in Buenos Aires.
