Last week, at approximately 7:30 on Thursday night, a group of suspects met at Tommy’s Cuisine in the Central Business District to solve a murder.
Twenty or so MBA 2s donned 1920’s costumes and transformed for an evening into characters like Al Capone, Jack “Greasy Thumbs” Guilespsi, Don Wannabe, and jazz singer Carrie Crooner. The night began in Tommy’s Wine Bar, where “Big Jim” Ravioli, or Mob Boss Richard Yancey was murdered. From that moment on, evidence was uncovered, more murders were committed, bribes were traded, and motives were revealed.
The dinner party wrapped up around 11 pm with participants casting their vote for lead Murder suspect, Best Costume, and Best Performer.
All in all, it was a successful night of ridiculous accents (re. Mitchel Karam as Inspector Neville “The Nose” Nutella) and hilarity—not at all abnormal for a night out in New Orleans with Tulane MBA.
A special thank you to Tommy’s Cuisine for being wonderful hosts for the evening, and to Dinner and a Murder for providing game materials.
