With eleven wins in four years you could say that Tulane Football was a disappointment in my undergraduate years. All of that has now changed for the better with Tulane’s state of the art Yulman Stadium opening September 6th versus throwback rival Georgia Tech (like Tulane a founding member of the SEC). Within fourteen seconds of tickets going on sale for the opener, all seats in the stadium were sold out and the three releases of student tickets were all met with long lines and much enthusiasm. Despite a 38-21 loss, the home team certainly came prepared, making gutsy plays on the ball from the first snap of the game. While I may have only returned for one year of graduate school I look forward to many years of returning to Tulane to watch this historic program regain the excellence of years past.
