Fall semester has finished. Are you still worried about your grades? Starting to get homesick? Not for those international students who enjoy their holidays in the States. Here are some fun things that Tulane MFINs are up to over the Christmas and New Year break.
Florida—Magic Kingdom
With only a one hour flight from New Orleans to Orlando, Disney World is always a good choice for the winter holiday. You can watch a firework show at night or take a picture with Johnny Depp, here all your wishes may come true. If this is too childish for you, then rent a car and head for Miami and Key West, where you can enjoy beautiful white beaches and go parasailing with your friends.
New York—White Christmas
If you would like to experience a White Christmas, the Big Apple is your destination. Pick out a gift for yourself at a Fifth Avenue shop, go ice skating in Central Park, or ring in the new year in Times Square. With shops open late and plenty of pedestrian traffic, you will never feel lonely in New York.
California—Beautiful Seaside Resort
After a tense semester, you might be looking for a place to relax over the break. Then don’t miss California. The sunshine, beautiful seaside architecture, long beach promenades and piers all promise a wonderful vacation. With a huge population of Asians, California has the best Chinese food and China Town, where many international students say it feels like a taste of home.
