Educational Background

Undergraduate and Masters in Mechanical Engineering with Business Finance

What is a fun fact about you?

I spent five weeks on an uninhabited island in the middle of the Indian Ocean manually collecting 25 tons of marine debris. I have interacted with 2 members of the British Royal Family, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Harry.

Tell us about your work experience. What you are most proud of?

I have over five years of experience in project management and consulting in the energy and technology industries. Amongst others, I led the deployment of the 2nd walkthrough Biometric Corridor in the world that is being used for international border control. I have also worked for a Development Finance Institution (DFIs) structuring financing facilities including a $300M Trade Finance Facility.

Why are you pursuing your MBA?

The MBA is an opportunity for me to obtain a strong foundation of business fundamentals to complement my hands-on experience in project management in state-owned utilities and the technology industry. Upon graduating, I want to use my enhanced knowledge of the business environment to help businesses and/or government strike a balance between economic growth, responsible environmental management and sustainability by leveraging digital technology.

What attracted you to Freeman?

The emphasis placed on understanding the global business environment through experiential learning is unique to Freeman. Over the course of my studies, I hope to gain a better understanding of the global interaction across countries specifically in the energy industry, as well as specialize in Strategic Management and Innovation.

Where do you hope to be in five years?

I am an islander. Matters of conservation and sustainability affect my country, my people, and my heritage. I want to enable businesses to operate more sustainably. By identifying a business’s sustainability challenges, I want to help balance those with business objectives and risks with a focus on how to use technology and sustainability to drive competitive advantage, innovative solutions and value for society.

What do you like to do in your spare time/hobbies?

I am an active swimmer. I also enjoy volunteering in projects/activities that empower youth and/or promote sustainable development/environmental awareness.
