Why did you decide to get your master’s degree?
I was an exchange student at Tulane University in the fall term of 2021. While spending my exchange semester in New Orleans, I fell in love with the city and the university and immediately applied for the MMG program at Tulane.

What was your favorite course and why?
Real Estate Planning and Development. The class was hands-on and really helped me to completely understand the financial frameworks necessary to survive in the real estate industry.

Who is your favorite business professor? What made them special?
My favorite professor is AJ Brooks. He was the most open minded professor I ever experienced in a class. Following him and his lectures was the perfect mix of learning exciting new content and having a fun learning experience while doing so.

Did you participate in any extracurricular activities, community work or leadership roles at Tulane?
I became part of the Beta Gamma Sigma honors society.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I really like to work out; sport helps me clear my mind after a stressful day. I also really enjoy reading a good book, or grabbing a coffee with friends.

What is your past work or internship experience? Include company, location, title.
Valyria Technology GmbH, Berlin, Germany, Growth Intern

Where will you be working after graduation? Include company, location, title.
Not yet sure, but I would love to move to NYC.

What are the top two items on your professional bucket list?
Going skydiving and visiting Thailand.

Which academic, extracurricular or personal achievement are you most proud of, and why?
To being inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma honors society. It was great seeing that all the hard work of the past semesters paid off.

If you were talking to someone who was considering Freeman, what would you tell them?
Do it! The community on campus and especially in the business school is unique.

What are your favorite things to do in New Orleans? Do you have a favorite New Orleans memory?
Going to French Truck Coffee or Superior Seafood. My favorite New Orleans memory was the weenie dog race that was organized on the Fair Grounds Race Course.

Where do you hope to be in five years?
In five years I want to have founded my own start-up.

What are your tips for balancing coursework, work and your personal life?
Make a plan. Whenever you know that a deadline is coming up, it does not matter if it is tomorrow or next year, sit down and split the work up into smaller packets. This helps to continuously work on a task and will increase the final quality as well.
